My name is John Brosnahan, and I am a sophomore at Wellesley High School. This is my second year in Wellesley, and I have to say that I love it! I stay after school almost every day for woodworking, frisbee, photo, and robotics club.

Although raised Catholic, I hadn’t been practicing for awhile until I met a group of friends in the St. John- St. Paul Collaborative who were extremely welcoming. I’m proud to say that I now sing with them in the Sunday 5pm Youth Choir, and I’ll be joining them on the trip to WYD.

Culture has always been a big part of my life as my parents have always been introducing my siblings and me to new places and traditions our whole lives. As I’ve been told by many people, WYD is a life changing experience, and I believe that it will not only let me explore Portugal’s culture but also bring me to a closer connection with God.

Growth and diversification has been my goal in life ever since moving to Wellesley, so I feel extremely grateful to have the opportunity to go on this beautiful trip with these amazing people.

Thank you to all of the people who are making this pilgrimage possible!
