This critical ministry continues the tradition of instructing our children in the fundamentals of faith, doctrine, tradition, and scripture as we try to bring each child into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

The focus is on experiencing Christian community in our liturgies, in class, and through community outreach. Men and women of faith who enjoy working with children are invited to share their faith as catechists.  St. John’s offers both traditional classroom instruction as well as a Family Cluster model.

Our new program for Grades 6-7 will include more content and classes to provide a strong foundation for these students in advance of their sacrament preparation for Confirmation in Grade 8. The expanded curriculum will be closely integrated with the new Confirmation Preparation curriculum.

Regular and active participation in the Sunday Eucharist is central to our faith and a critical component of our Religious Education programs.
