MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR GRADES 6-8
This critical ministry continues the tradition of instructing our children in the fundamentals of faith, doctrine, tradition, and scripture as we try to bring each child into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
The focus is on experiencing Christian community in our liturgies, in class, and through community outreach. Men and women of faith who enjoy working with children are invited to share their faith as catechists. St. John’s offers both traditional classroom instruction as well as a Family Cluster model.
Our Middle School Program is designed to deliver lessons effectively to students in Grades 6-8. The program includes six (6) activity based on-site classes, which take place on Sunday afternoons, coupled with an on-line learning component.
We encourage our Middle School students to attend Mass regularly. The on-site classes will include fun games, interactive exercises and thought provoking activities to excite and entertain Middle School students while they learn about their faith, particularly in terms of the Liturgy.
