“Godbwye” from St. Paul Cantor

“Godbwye” from St. Paul Cantor

I would like to share my sincere thanks and let you know what a privilege it’s been to be a Cantor for St. Paul Church and Section Leader for the St. Paul Choir as I retire this weekend. Over the past 29 years I’ve watched children in our parish grow up, sung at baptisms, first communions, confirmations, weddings, and too many funerals. I’m so thankful to Mary Lee Cirella for having the confidence in me to be a part of the music ministry here at St. Paul’s. Each and every liturgy and concert was truly a highlight because of the caring, supportive priests and staff, you, the dear parishioners, and especially Mary Lee and the St. Paul Choir. Thank you for these amazing years together…

Advance Reservations NOT Required for Weekend Masses

Advance Reservations NOT Required for Weekend Masses

As you know, last weekend we removed the advance reservation requirement for weekend Masses. We are going to continue this practice while closely monitoring the numbers at all Masses. If capacity issues arise in general, or at particular Masses, we will go back to requiring reservations in some form.
Please try to arrive at church at least 5-10 minutes before the beginning of Mass to allow adequate time for entrance and seating.
Remember:  masks (covering the nose and mouth), social distancing, and increased ventilation are still required.

Saint Paul Parish News

Saint Paul Parish News

I have some good news that I am thrilled to share with all of you. St. Paul Parish has received a signed lease for the rental of the St. Paul School building from Star Academy Boston. This is a 20 year lease with options to extend up to 30 years.

Star Academy is a private school serving students in Preschool through Grade 8 on their campus in Watertown, and they are very excited to be expanding to Wellesley. They will be giving the inside of the St. Paul School building a much-needed facelift before opening their doors to students on September 1, 2021, and St. Paul Parish will begin to receive rental income from them at that time.

Can You Help?

Can You Help?

As we begin the process of transitioning to a more “normal” weekend Mass experience, we are in great need of parishioners who can step up as greeters and ushers at our weekend Masses. Your job will be simple – just arrive a few minutes early for Mass so you can welcome parishioners as they enter the church and help with any questions about seating and Mass protocols for newcomers. You can help occasionally or on a regular basis – whatever works for you.

Advance Reservations for Mass Are Not Required This Weekend, April 10-11

Advance Reservations for Mass Are Not Required This Weekend, April 10-11

As you know, since resuming in-person Masses last June, our Collaborative has required advance reservations for weekend Masses. Advance reservations allowed us to ensure compliance with state and Archdiocesan guidelines regarding capacity, social distancing, and contact tracing, and to reduce risk as much as possible for our parishioners, clergy and staff as we began to gather together again…

Evening for Women: “Wisdom Speaks in the Evening: The On-Going Gift of Discernment”

Evening for Women: “Wisdom Speaks in the Evening: The On-Going Gift of Discernment”

Discernment is an intentional attitude for making important decisions in our lives. It is more than making a choice or a pro-con list; it calls upon the Spirit of God for guidance. This program will invite us to listen for the ‘still small voice’ of Wisdom in discerning our last vocations as carefully as we listened for discerning our first.
