Our Collaborative Service Commission met this week and spent some time looking at the many organizations with whom we have a relationship and who we traditionally help in the coming season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are looking at creative ways in which we are still able to support those who need our help during the pandemic. Today we are asking for your help for St. Francis House, the largest day shelter in Massachusetts, located in downtown Boston. They serve over 500 men and women a day, 365 days a year.  The services include meals, clothing, counseling, and healthcare for the homeless. For many years, we have supported St. Francis House through a Men’s Clothing Drive, held annually in June, and each year the drive is a huge success because of your generosity and grace. Unfortunately, for the safety of their staff and guests, St. Francis House has temporarily suspended all clothing donations, so our drive had to be postponed this year.

We now have a new way to help!  In lieu of our annual Men’s Clothing Drive, we can now support St. Francis House through their Amazon Wishlist, which allows supporters to purchase the items most needed by their clients and have them shipped directly to St. Francis House.  You can click the following link to visit their Wishlist page:
