The St. John-St. Paul Collaborative provides Religious Education programs for our children and adolescents with ongoing faith formation, spiritual encouragement, and development of the understanding and practice of being Catholic in the world today. As always, parents are the primary educators of their children, and our Religious Education Programs serve to support and enhance their important mission. The programs incorporate meaningful learning experiences designed to inform, guide, and celebrate understanding of the Catholic faith. Children actively participate in prayer, worship, and service to others while continuing to develop their own personal relationship with God. Our programs will be offered to families across the Collaborative and will include one group class and three at-home options.

  • Our ONLINE CLASS PROGRAM will primarily be facilitated in an online environment using the Zoom platform – however we have scheduled a voluntary in-person class opportunity for our sacrament preparation students in Grades 2, 9 and 10 on Sunday, October 4th.  The classes will be held once a month except for our 2nd Grade/First Sacrament Preparation Program classes which will meet on more of a bi-weekly schedule to adequately prepare these students for these important sacraments.
  • We are also providing family access to our online class materials for those parents who want to home school their children with AT-HOME LESSONS for students at all grade levels.
  • Our traditional CLUSTER PROGRAM will also be offered.  This program provides monthly multi-generational lessons for families to facilitate at-home religious education with children across many grade levels, but it does not include education for sacrament preparation so it is not a registration option for our 2nd, 9th and 10th grade students.
  • The Archdiocese of Boston has developed a new family-oriented faith formation program called PROJECT NAZARETH that fosters faith education built into everyday life.  Instead of long lessons this program builds 5-10 minutes of teaching into daily life with activities and questions to reflect on.  It also accommodates students of all age levels but does not include education for sacrament preparation either, so it is not a registration option for our 2nd, 9th and 10th grade students.
