We are excited to announce that the St. John-St. Paul Collaborative will be sending a group of teens to World Youth Day Lisbon 2023!
World Youth Day was initiated by Pope John Paul Il in 1986, and the event attracts more than one million youth from almost every country in the world. It is an opportunity for our young people to learn about themselves and their faith, and to build bridges of friendship and hope between people, continents, and cultures. The week-long event, taking place August 1-6, 2023, culminates in a special Mass with the Holy Father. Many of the young people from our parishes who have attended World Youth Day in the past have described it as a life-changing event in their journey of faith.
They will begin fundraising for the trip this September with a Closed End Raffle. Tickets will be available after Masses as well as online – only 500 tickets will be sold so be sure to get yours early!
Tickets are $100 each and you could win one of the prizes below:
1st Prize: $5,000
2nd Prize: $2,000
3rd Prize: $1,000
The drawing will be held on October 23 after the Sunday 5pm Youth Mass at St. Paul Church.
