16th Annual Archdiocese of Boston Social Justice Convocation
Hope for Our Common Home: Catholics Caring for Creation
Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Boston College High School
Embark on a transformative journey as we usher in the Jubilee year of Hope with a day dedicated to the urgently needed Care for Creation, as inspired by Pope Francis’s Laudato Si’. This convocation promises to be both inspiring and thought-provoking, featuring:
Mass celebrated by Archbishop Richard Henning.
- Keynote address by Andrea Vincini, S.J., Chair of the Boston College Theology Department, delving into the critical issue of climate change and the scriptural mandate to steward God’s creation.
- An engaging moderated discussion with three diverse panelists, representing global, local, student, and government perspectives on action.
- Small 40-minute workshops focused on pressing environmental and climate issues and actions.
- Opportunities to connect with representatives from organizations working on education and action to address threats to our Common Home and climate justice.
