Human beings, while capable of the worst, are also capable of rising above themselves, choosing again what is good, and making a new start.
(LS #205)
It’s that time of year again… time to make a new start, time for New Year’s resolutions. How will you change your behavior this year for the good of yourself, your family and the common good?
Pope Francis, through his encyclical Laudato Si’, has been asking all of us throughout the world to make caring for each other and caring for our common home a priority. While this task may feel a bit overwhelming, you can make a difference by starting small. Whether its thinking globally and acting locally or assessing your carbon footprint, we all can work together for the good of each other and the planet.
Check out the ideas here from Pope Francis on how we can all pitch in and do our part to care for our common home. Happy New Year!
