World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 – Sponsor a Pilgrim!

World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 – Sponsor a Pilgrim!

Since its first edition in Rome in 1986, World Youth Day (WYD) has proven to be a laboratory of faith and an instrument for the evangelization and transformation of the Church. It aims to provide all participants with a universal Church experience, fostering a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Our Collaborative has a long history of sending young pilgrims to WYD. Many of our young people who have attended in the past have described it as a life-changing event in their journey of faith.

This summer, our Collaborative is sending 14 pilgrims – 10 young people and 4 chaperones – to WYD Lisbon 2023. As you can imagine, the expense of participating in this week-long pilgrimage is significant – the total cost is projected to be $4,000 per person – so we are asking for your help to make this possible…

Evening for Women: “A Life Rooted in Prayer” – Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30pm in St. John Chapel

All women of the Collaborative are invited to the Pre-Lenten program, “A Life Rooted in Prayer.” With Lent around the corner, we are called to think about prayer, fasting and alms giving. “A Life Rooted In Prayer”, led by Dr. Georgia Gojmerac-Leiner, will address prayer as a daily practice, and inspire participants to deepen their prayer during Lent and beyond. Georgia will provide copies of a contemporary Christian prayer book and lead participants in a creative activity.

There will be no pot-luck dinner this month, but coffee/tea and refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by clicking…

A Message from Fr. Jim

A Message from Fr. Jim

I continue to be thankful to God for my recovery and for how well I continue to progress, and grateful to all of you for your prayers and patience. I am so thrilled to begin my return to ministry! As eager as I am to jump right back in, I am mindful of the need to start slowly as I continue to build my strength and endurance. For now, I will be celebrating one weekday Mass and one or two weekend Masses each week.

I have also started the process of resuming my pastoral and administrative responsibilities – responsibilities that Fr. Hehir generously took on after my accident, in addition to his many other responsibilities within the Archdiocese. We have been truly blessed by his wisdom, guidance, and steady hand during these trying times, and I know that you join me in deep gratitude for Fr. Hehir’s extraordinary service to our Collaborative…
