The Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of St. Mary wish to thank everyone at the St. John -St. Paul Collaborative for their generosity to Capuchin Mobile Ministries in their Lenten Gift of over $33,000.

Br. Paul Fesefeldt, Br. Anthony Zuba, and Stephanie Gigliotti were grateful for the opportunity to present their Franciscan model of accompaniment of homeless persons to the people of the parish. We were edified by parishioners’ engagement at our midweek presentation and uplifted by their responses to our appeal during the weekend liturgies.

With grateful hearts, we received the parish gift at the end of April. We also received contacts for potential volunteers who will 1) accompany the friar chaplains on our outreach trips and 2) make sandwiches for the outreach trips. May God richly bless you for your support.

We want you to know that your assistance has already borne fruit!

  • Your gift has enabled us to assign more friars to the chaplaincy team. Br. Francisco Serrano, a lay Capuchin brother stationed in Brooklyn, N.Y., will join Brother Paul as a full-time chaplain effective June 1.
  • We are also in the process of bringing a Capuchin from El Salvador to the United States to join the chaplaincy team and work with our Spanish-speaking homeless neighbors.
  • Finally, we are thrilled to announce that we are hiring a stewardship manager who will come on board in July.

We thank you for helping us secure a firm foundation for our accompaniment of people experiencing homelessness.

Thank You from Capuchin Mobile Ministries!
