Please join us on Sunday, September 22 at 10:30am on the St. Paul Lawn for our annual Collaborative Outdoor Mass and fellowship event!
This will be our second time celebrating Mass on the expansive lawn in front of St. Paul Church, recreating what Fr. Jim calls “our own Tanglewood East!” In true Tanglewood fashion, parishioners are invited to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating.
Several areas will be pre-set with chairs reserved for those who require them due to mobility issues.
We ask all others to please bring their own lawn chairs/blankets for seating.
After Mass, please join us in the parking lot behind the church for food, fellowship, and fun!
NEW THIS YEAR! Our SJSP Society of St. Vincent de Paul is sponsoring a cookout after Mass, providing hotdogs, hambu
Reconnect with friends and meet new ones – including the new clergy and staff who joined our Collaborative over the summer, including Fr. James Taah, our new Scholar Priest in Residence, and William Endicott, our new Collaborative Director of Music! We’ll have some games and activities for the kids too!
Important Information on Mass Schedules and Parking!
So that as many members of our community as possible can join together for this special liturgy and fellowship event, there will be a reduced Mass schedule at the parishes on the weekend of September 21-22:
SATURDAY:
4:00pm Vigil Mass at St. Paul Church
5:00pm Vigil Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church
SUNDAY:
10:30am Collaborative Outdoor Mass on the St. Paul Lawn
(there will be no other Masses on Sunday)
“IN CASE OF RAIN” PLAN! Even if we cannot be outside due to weather, we still need to be together! If it rains, we will move inside St. Paul Church for our Collaborative Mass, and our food and fellowship event will move inside the Parish Hall. A decision regarding weather will be made by Saturday afternoon and announced on our website and via email – if you aren’t receiving our emails be sure to sign up HERE.
PARKING – the St. Paul Parking Lot will be reserved for our fellowship event and Handicap Permit Parking only. Off-street parking will be available in the Wellesley Council on Aging parking lot next door, and in the Library and Cameron Street parking lots just down the road. Street parking is available in marked spots on Washington Street and on Atwood and other local streets – please see the parking map below for more details and information.
